Blueprint for a National Food Strategy

Background

The Vermont Law School received funding from the Kellogg Foundation to build a framework for what a national food policy could look like in the United States. Many other countries have a national food policy, resulting in broader and more equitable access to healthy, safe and affordable food. Our challenge was to make detailed, data-driven information written by researchers and PhD’s appealing and accessible to the general public.

Approach

Our experience in food policy helped us craft a message simple and clear enough for most people understand, as we wanted readers and viewers to grasp just how big of an impact a national food strategy could have on the future of food production. We designed an interactive report and a short explainer video that highlighted the main points of the research.

Website

In order to display the report and video, we also created a website. The website serves as a place to have all of the content together, including video interviews with stakeholders.
